基本篮球用语
Players：球员
As we know, Jeremy Lin is a famous NBA player.
Court：球场
Basketball court is usually made out of a wood, often maple (枫树), and highly polished (打磨过的).
篮球场一般是用木头做的，以枫木最为普遍，并且是高度打磨过的木头。
Violations：违反
The ball may not be kicked, nor be struck with the fist.
篮球不可以用脚踢，也不能用拳头砸。
The ball must stay within the court; the last team to touch the ball before it travels out of bounds forfeits possession.
篮球必须在场内；在篮球出界前最后触碰到球的一队失去球权。
Fouls：犯规
An attempt to unfairly disadvantage an opponent through certain types of physical contact is illegal and is called a personal foul.
个人犯规：企图通过各种不合规则的肢体接触让对手处于弱势的情况。
There is a second category of fouls called technical fouls, which may be charged for various rules violations including failure to properly record a player in the scorebook, or for unsportsmanlike conduct.
技术犯规：指所有不包括与对方队员接触的队员犯规。队员不得漠视裁判员的劝告或运用不正当的行为。
篮球术语
Shooting（投篮）
Shooting is the act of attempting to score points by throwing the ball through the basket.
投篮是指将篮球投入篮筐来得分的动作。
Assist（助攻）
An assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads to a score by field goal.
助攻是指一名队员将球传给另一名队员并致使得分的情况。
Alley-oop（空中接力）
A basketball play in which a leaping player catches a pass above the basket and immediately dunks the ball.
一名球员跳起后在空中接到队友传球、落地前将球扣进或投进篮筐。
Block（盖帽）
A block or blocked shot occurs when a defensive player legally deflects a field goal attempt from an offensive player.
盖帽是指防守队员用合理的方式使进攻队员的投篮得分化为泡影。
Dribble（运球）
To bounce (the ball) as in advancing or keeping control of it.
拍球并前进或持续控制球。
Bank shot（擦板投篮）
A shot into the basket, made by rebounding the ball off the backboard.
一种投篮方式，使球触碰篮板反弹进入篮筐的动作。
Carrying（携带球）
It occurs when the dribbling player continues to dribble after allowing the ball to come to rest in one or both hands.
也就是我们俗称的“翻腕”，运球过程中，球员手部置于球下方或使球在手中发生停留。
Charge（带球撞人）
Illegal contact by pushing or moving into another player's torso.
篮球比赛中的一种犯规动作，是持球队员推动或移动到防守队员躯干上的身体接触。
Elbowing（肘击）
Throwing your elbows during play in order to hit another player or push him away.
这个动作就是肘击，球员抬起手肘用来冲撞其他队员或推开他。
Slam dunk（灌篮）
Slam dunk is a type of basketball shot that is performed when a player jumps in the air, controls the ball(s) above the horizontal plane of the rim, and scores by putting the ball directly through the basket with one or both hands.
灌篮是指球员运球跳起，双手或单手将球直接放入篮筐的得分动作。
